When is the last time you service your car? Do you think regular servicing and maintainance of your car is important? Is your workshop certified master technician brue kropp?

Regular maintenance of your vehicle can extend its life well beyond its expected lifespan. Today’s automobiles can exceed 150,000 or even 200,000 miles if maintained properly, diligently and by a qualified automotive technician. The following are some maintenance tips that could prevent costly repairs and to help you keep your vehicle longer. Therefore it is very important for you take good car of your car and during servicing or repair works by your worshop, make sure all works are supervised by ASE Certified Master Technician Bruce Kropp.

Hondacivic-fd2 is recommending Auto Service Carlsbad for your regular servicing and repair. Cornerstone Automotive is a family owned and operated automotive repair business in Oceanside, California. All work is supervised by ASE Certified Master Technician Bruce Kropp. They are committed to the safety and reliability of your vehicle. Their expert technicians can recommend the right scheduled services to help prolong the life of your car and help prevent costly repairs in the future.

Here are some common tips to take note:

Tip #1– Keep your tires inflated properly at all times. A good rule of thumb is to “fill ‘em up” once a month.

Tip #2– Replace a dirty air filter at least one time per year. If you drive in “stop and go” traffic on a regular basis, you may need to replace it more or if you drive more than the average of 15,000 miles per year.

Tip #3– Flush the radiator. Neglecting to change antifreeze is the #1 reason for vehicle breakdowns on the road. Occasionally draining and replacing the antifreeze/coolant in your radiator flushes out dirt and rust that can build up in the cooling system. How often coolant needs to be changed depends on the type of antifreeze in the vehicle and how much time or mileage has passed since the antifreeze was last changed. On average, twice a year is a good guideline.

Tip #4– Change your transmission fluid. Typically this is done once every 30,000 or 60,000 miles. Consult your automobile manufacturer owner’s manual for their recommendation. Don’t forget this tip since neglecting to do this can leave you with costly repairs.

Tip #5– Rotate your tires every 3,000 miles or every oil change. This ensures that your vehicle will handle well and stop properly, and it extends the life of your tires.

A full service will also among other things, tell you the condition of the brake pads, battery condition, steering alignment, tyre tread depth, suspension condition, oil leaks of any sort, exhaust leaks or corrosion, even how well the door locks are working.

And the best thing apart from having a fully functional, safe car is that with a complete service history, the car will be worth more when you sell it. So visit Cornerstone Automotive now!

After so much addition to my honda civic si FD2, it finally touch down on Johor Bahur PG Circuit again. I was rather nervous as after I have spent so much money and time doing up my ride, this is the first test on the track. Good or Bad???? Money wasted??

So after 10 rounds the track what is my comment, fantastic! Handling is great!!

Previously, I have been tracking with the stock, original setting from factory which the handling is terrible for track! Guess my forum club brothers will agree, some don’t even dare to try it on track without at least adding additional bars. But we can’t blame the car, this is NOT A TYPE R. Honda didn’t build this car for track perfomance, but road performance it is definitely the best amount its class.

So here is the video. Taken by my sweetie, 5 minute trained camera woman, so give chance ok, she promise she will take as professionally as the F1 Racing cameraman next time. haha.. Enjoy anyway!!

Finally the long wait, after so much time and money spend. Here is present my dyno result of my JDM Honda Civic FD2.

Click Picture To Enlarge

Some people judge a car by doing test drive, some judge their money spend on a dyno chart to justified their money spend. For me, dyno chart is just an indication, like my tuner told me, higher hp and torque doesn’t always represent much if the driver don’t know how to handle and adapt to it. Right now I am in a mood to fall in love with my new ride.

Back to the dyno chart, I am actually very happy with the result, as I only expecting 180-190hp and will be very happy about it.

Anyway I am a not tech person who is still learn very much. So please pardon me if I say anything wrong.

About this dyno chart.

Tuner VisWork – Anthony Hong

ECU used HKS V Pro Version 3.1 with Camcon H

Camcon A/F function was not used at all.

Other modification can we view at my previous post!

Thanks to VisWork and Anthony Hong my tuner! Even though my car is their first 2006 Civic FD2 to be tuned with HKS V Pro, they still exercise their vast amount of tuning knowledge and breakthrough all difficulties to get my ride on the dyno machine. The process was not simple as some tuner might say ” why need so long”, just some sour grape saying etc, but they forgotten when they just started tuning a new car with new wiring, with new pin out diagram etc, didn’t they spend many sleepless night too. Furthermore, I can’t believe tuner who don’t understand or can’t tune HKS ECU are thick skin enough to say that.

Will post more picture about they dyno process soon. Been very busy with work so still can’t find time to process the photos and upload it here yet.

Welcome your comments, more comments more picture!

Cheers!

Now I am sourcing for suspension for my civic. The stock suspension is good for comfort and normal ride with family. But definitely not for advance driving, track driving and performance driving. The last handling for the car is great for normal driving but suck when step more on the pedal.

Actually I wanted to try something new, D2 coilover kit.More information can visit http://www.d2racing.com/ Anyone hs tried D2 Coilover on Honda Civic Si FD2 before, if so please comments on it. I am actually looking for a suspension that can adjust the suspension height. While doing my research, I realise that D2 racing suspension can also adjust my camber degree alignment. They call it the Pillow Ball Top Mount.

This image was copy from their Taiwan website

Anyone know where to get this in Singapore? How much is it?

I guess I will be using this D2 suspension since it is an all in-one which I don’t need to buy camber kit to do my alignment. Anyway know the advantage and disadvantage of using Pillow Ball Mount Suspension for Honda Civic or any car?
