In  2007, Mugen announced the release of the performance enhanced Honda Civic Mugen RR  FD2 , based on the FD2 Honda Civic Type R.

The special K20 engine makes 240 horsepower (240ps/8000rpm, 22.2kgm/7000rpm) by having exclusive camshafts & valve springs and by tuning of intake and exhaust system.

The  Honda Civic Mugen RR has adopted the 6 speed manual transmission with the short stroke shifter and Brembo brakes with slit rotors stainless mesh hoses. Furthermore, the FD2 Honda Civic Mugen RR has achieved 15kg loss in weight by equipping the carbon front bumper & grille, the carbon rear wing,the aluminum hood with out-let,light weight alloy wheels, and carbon Recaro seats.

Honda CRZ Hybrid Coming This Summer 2010

So after 10 rounds the track what is my comment, fantastic! Handling is great!!

Previously, I have been tracking with the stock, original setting from factory which the handling is terrible for track! Guess my forum club brothers will agree, some don’t even dare to try it on track without at least adding additional bars. But we can’t blame the car, this is NOT A TYPE R. Honda didn’t build this car for track perfomance, but road performance it is definitely the best amount its class.

So here is the video. Taken by my sweetie, 5 minute trained camera woman, so give chance ok, she promise she will take as professionally as the F1 Racing cameraman next time. haha.. Enjoy anyway!!
